For low-viscosity fertilizer liquid, flow meter filling, gravity filling or gear pump filling can be selected. For thicker fertilizer, suspension liquid or products with slight particles, piston filling or enlarged filling valves can be configured to improve filling stability.

Chemical compatibility should be checked before the machine is manufactured, especially for fertilizers containing acidic, alkaline, saline or highly reactive ingredients.

The most important information is not simply that the product is called “liquid fertilizer.” You should provide its pH range, major chemical characteristics, viscosity, concentration and whether it is corrosive to common metals or elastomers. The machine can then be configured with suitable product-contact parts, seals, hoses and valves.

Shanghai Honest specifically offers chemical-compatible contact parts for corrosive fertilizer, pesticide and special agrochemical formulations. Other chemical filling equipment manufacturers likewise use specialized materials such as PTFE, chemical-resistant elastomers or non-metallic components where ordinary materials are unsuitable.

For corrosive products, material compatibility should be confirmed from the actual formula—not chosen from the product name alone.

Yes, but suspension fertilizer needs a different approach from a completely homogeneous, water-like fertilizer.

If particles settle inside the supply tank, the concentration reaching the filling nozzle can gradually change during production. Depending on the product, the system may therefore require agitation, product circulation, larger valve passages or piston filling to maintain a more consistent mixture and reduce blockage.

Your current product configuration specifically allows piston filling or enlarged filling valves for thicker fertilizers, suspension liquids and products containing slight particles.

Before quotation, it is useful to provide:

  • maximum particle size,
  • approximate solids percentage,
  • whether particles settle quickly,
  • viscosity,
  • and an actual product sample if possible.

That information is more useful than simply saying “NPK liquid fertilizer.”

Foaming should be evaluated separately because some foliar fertilizers, plant nutrients and agrochemical liquids contain surfactants that can create foam during high-speed filling.

The filling process can be optimized by adjusting the filling speed profile, nozzle position and filling method. For products that foam easily, slower initial filling or controlled nozzle movement can help prevent excessive air entrainment and reduce overflow.

Your product page specifically states that machine configuration is selected according to the product’s viscosity and foaming level, rather than applying one filling system to every fertilizer. Chemical filling equipment is likewise commonly engineered around fluid characteristics such as viscosity, corrosiveness and volatility rather than speed alone.

For a strongly foaming formula, we recommend testing the actual fertilizer before final FAT parameters are agreed.

Mechanically, the same line may be capable of handling several agrochemical liquids if the viscosity, container and material-compatibility requirements are within the machine’s design range. However, whether the same product-contact circuit should be shared depends on your production and contamination-control requirements.

Between different formulations, the product tank, piping, pumps or pistons, valves and filling nozzles must be cleaned according to an appropriate validated procedure. Your current machine includes an automatic cleaning function after filling and also supports no-bottle/no-fill and no-cap/no-capping control.

If you run products that must remain strictly separated—for example fertilizer and certain pesticide formulations—it may be better to consider:

  • or even independent filling circuits.

The decision should be made according to the actual chemicals and local production requirements rather than assuming one cleaning cycle is sufficient for every formulation.
