Automatic liquor filling machine

Inline spirits bottling solution for liquor, vodka, whisky, rum, brandy, tequila and other alcoholic beverages.

Our automatic liquor filling machine is designed for filling vodka, whisky, rum, brandy, tequila, gin, fruit wine, rice wine and other alcoholic beverages into glass bottles or customized spirit bottles.

For glass bottle liquor packaging, accurate fill level, stable bottle handling and clean capping are important for both product quality and shelf presentation. For high-proof alcohol products, optional explosion-proof electrical configuration and alcohol-compatible contact parts can be designed according to your production safety requirements.

Key Features:
  • Suitable for alcoholic beverages such as liquor, vodka, whisky, rum, brandy, tequila, gin, wine and rice wine.
  • Custom filling system with volumetric filling, gravity filling, flow meter filling or overflow filling according to accuracy and fill-level requirements.
  • Complete bottling line integration with bottle rinser, filling machine, capping machine, corking machine, labeling machine and date coder.
  • Optional explosion-proof configuration for high-proof alcohol, spirits and flammable liquid production environments.

FAQ:

Yes, this needs to be evaluated before the machine configuration is finalized. High-proof spirits can generate flammable alcohol vapors, so electrical components, ventilation, grounding and ignition-source control may need to meet the hazardous-area rules applicable in the buyer’s country.

OSHA states that flammable liquids must not be dispensed where vapors can reach an ignition source, and hazardous areas may require appropriately classified electrical equipment. Some liquor equipment suppliers therefore offer ATEX or explosion-protected configurations specifically for higher-alcohol products.

For quotation, the buyer should provide the maximum ABV/proof, filling temperature and local installation requirements. A standard beverage filler should not automatically be assumed suitable for every high-proof spirit; for example, some commercial spirit fillers explicitly state that they are not explosion-proof.

Yes, but the machine settings and the legal package size are two different issues.

Mechanically, the filler can be designed around multiple target volumes within its configured range. For products sold in the United States, however, distilled spirits must also comply with TTB standards of fill. Current U.S. rules authorize multiple metric sizes, and TTB specifically identifies 50 mL and 100 mL as the two smallest approved sizes, while the current standard also includes sizes such as 200, 375, 500 and 750 mL.

Therefore, when purchasing the machine, it is better to provide the exact markets and SKUs—for example:

50 mL mini bottle → 200 mL → 375 mL → 500 mL → 750 mL

so the filling recipes, bottle guides and change parts can be designed around the actual commercial range.

This depends on what matters most for the finished product.

A volumetric filling system is intended to dose a defined quantity into each bottle. A level/overflow filling system is often chosen when transparent bottles need the liquid surface to appear at the same height on the shelf. Equipment suppliers specifically recommend overflow filling where a consistent cosmetic fill level is important, while volumetric spirit fillers are used when precise volume is the priority.

This matters for premium whisky, brandy and spirits because decorative glass bottles may have small internal-volume variations. Two bottles can contain the same volume while showing slightly different visual fill heights.

For luxury packaging, buyers should therefore decide during FAT whether the acceptance criterion is primarily:

net volume accuracy,
visible fill-level consistency,
or a controlled compromise between both.

It can be designed for multiple closure formats, but one universal capping head normally cannot handle every closure without dedicated tooling or modules.

Spirit bottling lines may use cork/T-top closures, screw caps, ROPP aluminum caps and other specialty closures. Different cap types require different feeding, placing and tightening mechanisms; suppliers of alcohol bottling lines note that changing closure type may require separate capping heads or even an additional capping station.

For liquor projects, send the actual:

  • bottle neck drawing,
  • cap or cork sample,
  • closure dimensions,
  • required torque where applicable,
  • decorative capsule or tamper band.

This is particularly important for premium liquor packaging because a bottle that looks similar externally may use a completely different neck finish.

Sometimes yes, but this should not be assumed.

Vodka, whisky, gin and many standard spirits are relatively low-viscosity liquids. Cream liqueurs, syrup-containing liqueurs or heavily flavored products may behave differently and can require another filling principle, different pump configuration, nozzle diameter or filling speed.

Distiller-focused filling equipment suppliers offer gravity, volumetric and other filler types because the optimal solution can change with viscosity, alcohol content and filling requirements.

If one factory plans to produce both 40% ABV whisky and a thicker cream or herbal liqueur, we recommend testing the most difficult product, not only the easiest spirit. The FAT should confirm filling accuracy, dripping, foaming, cleaning and production speed for each major formulation.
